Faux wood or Wood? Does the sun affect our choice in Colorado Springs
We do get this question a lot. “I have heard that wood blinds or wood shutters will fade here in Colorado Springs. So I would just like to look at faux wood blinds or shutters."Like everything else when purchasing items you get what you pay for. The major manufacturers of faux wood blinds, wood blinds, faux wood shutters and wood shutters usually put UV inhibitors in their finish to protect the product. That finish helps protect the wood from UV rays.
A very inexpensive faux wood has more of a chance to fade and yellow by far than a good quality wood product. I personally have seen blinds fade in 1 year from one of our competitors.
